Writers block???
Well yesterday we decided it would be a good day to do some recording. After working on a beat for a few hours and fine tuning it, I listened to the beat over again and realized there was a reason that it sounded so good, it was almost the same beat from our song So Far Gone. So after a few hours of work we got nothing done, once again. I feel that we are in a writers block since we havent made any new songs in the last three weeks, I go to Peru next week for a trip, so that means we will not be able to sit down and make new material until mid July, is this a too long break? Or a much needed time for some R and R?
Our CD is announced to be released on August 21, 2011 but we may need to push the date back at least a week or two! But you never know, maybe on return from Peru everything will be better! For now we have seven songs done and hope to at least get 5 more!

AOCI!
If your on this blog, AOCI: The Official Blog. Then you probably have heard of us through our music on itunes, our facebook fan page or our comedy youtube act. Basically we are a band that started as a comedy act three years ago, with my friend Grayson and I (Alex.) Nowadays we have gone in a different direction from our almost senseless comedy roots. We are now making a more serious pop-rap sound with yes... maybe some comedy still thrown in there. Right now we are in production of our second studio-serious album and it is going to be called Far Away. We have released one single for it called So Far Gone and it has been selling well and is right now our highest rated song to date. Our comedy songs are somewhat lower rated but our new single shows a changed and new us.
In the last year, our records sales have really boosted and we have worked on getting our music and ideas out there. Currently we are working on an official website, but for now we have a blog, I have a twitter and we also have a growing facebook fanpage. We hope that we can use new web 2.0 skills to really get our music out there and possibly crack the charts.
On this blog my goal is to fill you guys, the fans, in on everything going on in the world of AOCI. But unlike our facebook page this is going to be a more interactive and fun way for everyone to know whats coming next. We may even post song ideas, lyrics and unreleased footage on here so stay posted!
